I would wait until homebrew gets worked out on the slim (and is fully compatible). The Slim & Lite's NAND flash is twice as large (from 32 up to 64) and will make homebrew able to run much faster and do more (like much faster N64 emulators). Right now only specially encoded homebrew will work since the 1.5 kernel is incompatible with the slim because it was made for 3.60 and up. Firmware version 1.5 was only made on the fat psp.

I got both and can do just about everything on the slim I could do on my 1.50 fat. I know there are other applications a 1.50 fat can do that a slim can't, but everything I was running on the fat can be run on the slim. If you want homebrew on the slim, you're gonna have to install a new firmware and you have to have the pandora battery/mem card to install the new firmware. As far as I know, you have to have a homebrew enabled fat psp to make a pandora.
Right now, I have NES, SNES, GB/GBC, GBA, and PS1 emulators running on my slim. I have had all of those plus MAME, MSX, Atari 2600, and Atari 7800 running on the slim since I got it. I have read that the Genesis will run on the slim, but I haven't tried it yet.

The NAND does crap to speed up homebrew. I think what you're thinking of the RAM, which is also doubled from 32 to 64MB, and could increase homebrew speed. StrmnNrmn, the guy thats making Daedalus PSP, said that the added RAM will make little difference in emulation speed.hammertime94 wrote:The Slim & Lite's NAND flash is twice as large (from 32 up to 64) and will make homebrew able to run much faster and do more (like much faster N64 emulators).
