Free domain hosting, some other things, AND CONGRATS BICOSTP

Post by Kurt_ »

Where can I find someone/someplace that will let me host a domain name (or domain forwarding name) of my choice for free?

http://www.freedomain.co.nr/
All that they require is that you place a link back to their site on your first page.
Meh, I don't post much.

Dr Killgood: And you can leave the forums.

Other guy: Is there anything like that but only one .? Like .net or .biz even, instead of .co.nr.
I was more hoping for something like the following (It's an example, not what I want):

I have a site on a free host (googlepages.com or the likes) and I get a mask (like a .tk but only .tk if I absolutely have to) to get an easy to type name in the address bar, like www.kurtisawesome.net.

If domain names were free, everyone would have them...

But really, I've seen them for 5 dollars a month, that's not TOO much, is it?
If you're looking at this post and it was made before 2008, just ignore it.

I thought you could register a domain for $10 a year... :? $5 a month sounds pretty high, especially considering you can get hosting at Servage fopr about $6.50 a month (with a domain name).

You can get a free .tk address at www.dot.tk.

You can just get a .tk domain name and use scripts to turn off the ads and popups. PM me and I can try to find them.

Pm'ed.

Some more things:

1) Ways to get my website out there. Things like a "Digg This" button and search engine listings (all for free, of course)

2) Pay-per-click/view advertising that is free to join, trustworthy, and that pays me money that isn't Google Adsense. (Already have it)

3) Good reasons to give me money.

1. Google lets you add your URL to its crawler's hit list here.

2. I don't know.

3. Because you'll beat us up if we don't?

Bic, I've wondered this every time I see a post by you on these forums since I've joined...

Just how do you pronounce "bicostp"? And what does it mean!?

Submit your website to Google, don't make it hard for it to find! Also, sitemap your site and submit it for a better chance/faster.
