I will be, once I get my Nikon D80. Should be getting it soon... as well as a Sony HDR-SR7. (These are for my family's business.)

What'd you use for that.. strange picture of hair?

Nice. I helped my friend get a Nikon D40 and knocked off 50 bucks with my target discount card

I actually own a Sony HDR-SR1..they are pretty good hard drive cameras except its harder to edit HD footage.

As for the photo, my theme is Depth of Field. It is where you focus on one object, and blur out the background. It's pretty neat..I have more photos to come. It's all for my AP Studio Art class.

You have an SR1!? SWEET!!! Okay, I need you to tell me something then. I've been trying to figure this out via Google, but I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. Simple question: How well does it capture fast motion? I heard that the max 15 Mbps hinders the performance during high-movement scenes. Is this true? I plan to use the SR7 mostly to record horses trotting back and forth in a field, and possibly actual races (don't ask unless you truly want to know... ). Do you think it'll be able to handle it without too much blurring/other artifacts?

The 15mbps doesn't hinder high motion because it is in a different video format called AVCHD. It's a more highly compressed video, but it captures fast motion perfectly fine. In daylight, this camera is godly...but at night time the shot doesnt look as nice because it creates a little noise and some artifacts.

Overall, the SR7 is a great camera..especially for point and shoot. I wouldn't suggest it for editing purposes though.
