Hmmm...309GB/s?

Post by Adam G »

Well, reformatted and lost a few things.
I re-downloaded BitComet and...well, just look at the picture.
Disclaimer: Everything in this picture has been edited, except the part of the BitComet download/info. I have never been, nor do I ever intend to go to Project World.

I'm sure it's inaccurate, but I thought it was cool!
Anyway; rate, hate, comments?

It's a secret community ruled by the remnants of the old Keebler Elve coup. Sorry you missed out.

BitComet is fail. It's banned on practically all private sites. Not that I'm familiar with such things or anything.

This is so easy to do.

Click a download linky, now, when it asks you what to do with it, press nothing...

Wait untill you think it has finished (no internet activity), then press save.

Wow, so hard to do.

Well, I just did as you stated and you are correct. It does show a high speed but I couldn't get it up to 409GB/s again...I got it to 77488KB/s (77 GB/s).

A GigaByte is 1,024 MegaBytes, which is 1,024 KiloBytes. A Gigabit is 1,000 Megabits, which is 1,000 Kilobits. Bytes is abbreviated with a capital "B" and bits is a lowercase "b". Just so you know because it makes a big difference in your conversions. Bytes are measured by 2^x and bits are measured by 10^y.

....WTF are you talking about?
1 Byte = 8 Bits
The 1024/1000 difference is somewhat due to the metric system (wanting to be exactly 1000, not 1024), but seems more likely to be due to lazy people and deceptive advertisers :P
