If I upgrade my PSP to the latest firmware...
...is there a chance that it will be downgradeable one day? Just wondering.

Every PSP phat can be downgraded, regardless of the firmware, thanks to the Pandora Battery. I'm pretty sure the situation is the same with the PSP Slim.
1.5 is the juggernaut of homebrew gaming right now. Virtually everything out there is for 1.5, because it can easily be made to run unsigned code. Firmware 1.5 will install on any PSP phat provided you do it correctly, but not PSP slims. Thanks to the PSP Slim, most new homebrew will be made to run on the 2.5 kernel. 2.5 by itself, official from Sony, won't run homebrew games unless you have an unpatched copy of GTA LCS.

PSP Can be Downgraded from any Firmware by Pandora

PSP Slim can not run 1.5 Firmware, Install 3.71 M33
PSP (Normal, fat) should use the 3.71 M33 Firmware and the 1.5 Kernel Extender.
All PSPs can be downgraded and you don't need 1.5, get a Custom Firmware. Honestly atm I recommend 3.52 M33-4

I have 3.52 M33-4, and PSX games won't run, I haven't looked into it, and at the moment I don't really care, but has anyone else experienced this? Of the three PSX games I have (Threads of Fate, FFVIII&IX) they all come up with "cannot run game" or whatever it is, followed by some hex code.

Do you have a custom Theme? Also, what Pops version were the games made for? You may need the popsloader pluginsoundwave wrote:I have 3.52 M33-4, and PSX games won't run, I haven't looked into it, and at the moment I don't really care, but has anyone else experienced this?
