This game hardly differs from the much hyped Halo 2. Having played it on 1080p, it didn't even look that impressive! Not like I had much hopes for the game, but I couldn't see my self buying a 360 like I did with Halo 1 (and camping out for the game like I did with Halo 2).

Somewhat disappointing, maybe it'll grow on me though after leeching off my friend that bought it. :P
Really, you didn't think it looked good? While playing through there were several places I just looked around and said 'wow.' as far as gameplay, of course it's like Halo 2, that's the idea! For me, it seems enough like Halo 1 and 2 to be nice and familiar, but with some nice new features. I liked the level design a lot more than Halo 2, and was reminded at a few points of some of the better levels in Halo 1. As far as the story goes, it blew Halo 2 out of the water, especially the ending.
I'll give it another shot when my friend brings it over a few weeks from now - but it just simply didn't live up to my expectations. *shrug*

To make a long story short. I liked it.

Also, I didn't mean to spoil. :(

Yes, because everyone bought the game to finish the storyline which had SUCH deep ideals and hidden turns.

My hope for this post is to thread out those who detect sarcasm and those who do not.

I'm gonna go in a hole and die now.... :(

I am really really sorry if i totally ruined and destroyed peoples experience playing Halo 3. I didn't mean to intentionally spoil the game, I'm not like that..

If people can't forgive me thats fine. Once again I'm very sorry. I feel like crap. :(

Skyone: You suck.

Halo has a really deep storyline (especially for a game where all you do is shoot things). You just have to read the books that go before/after each game. It's very Sci-Fi, but they're a really good read. And I just read the wikipedia summaries of them!!!

Correction, you suck.

Regardless, I played it again at my friends house and it was... meh, again. There was once where I close-ranged sniped two people in the head quickly, and we had to play that several times with the film stuff. :P

Sounds like you were having some fun then. :P

As far as the story goes, the first thing I did when I got my hands on the game was to play through campaign mode before even going online specifically because I didn't want the storyline to be ruined. There are significant twists and revelations and I would have been pissed had they been spoiled.

I completely understand if some people don't care or don't like the story, but please, don't ruin it for those who do. :)

Calm down, it's not like they wouldn't have found it out anyway.

Seriously, don't go psycho on someone because they post a little spoiler. It's ridiculous.

ive played halo 1 and 2 and read the books, its not a bad storyline but i wouldnt call it deep by any stretch of the imagination! entertaining yes, as far as emotional involvement with he characters and a deep storyline its HL2 (and ep1 and soon ep2) FTW :D
