Hey guys. I'm in a bad mood so I'm gonna make thie quick.

I need some help with goddam paypal. It keeps saying that "This transaction has exceeded your sending limit. Please enroll in extended use."

I don't get whats going wrong. I put money in my back (through bank machine) this morning, so I know I have money in the account.

I'm trying to buy an "iPhone", and I want to buy it sometime soon, not have to wait for a stupid error to fix. (Dont ask me questions about Why I'm getting an Iphone, or I will speak to a Moderator. Thanks.)

Why am I getting this error? It wants me to enter a CreditCard thing, but I dont have a credit card. I just emailed Paypal, but I want an awnser relitivaly soon.

(Please note: I do have money in my account. I put $160 in it using the Bank Machine. I did NOT speak to a teller. So, I maybe getting this error, because the money hasnt processed from the machine yet. As the money doesnt process until monday.)

Please help.

Also, does someone have an instrumental to Chocolate Rain by Tay Zonday? I need it. I made a good parody.

Maybe you should follow its advice and enroll in extended use. It never said that you don't have money to use, it said that you've used to much.

Also a more wise thing to do is ask PayPal tech support.

@ paypal question: Sounds like PayPal only lets you spend so much in a given timeframe. You might have to upgrade your account, or be patient and wait a few weeks. And where are you getting this "iPhone" (the quotes make me think it's a ripoff)?

@ Chocolate Rain question: I'm not sure that there is one. Try his website, or download the vocalized MP3 and cancel the center pan with Audacity. (Break apart the left and right tracks into two mono tracks and invert one of them.)

Open a Paypal account with fake info for a higher sending/receiving rate.
Canada works, also, there is an Autralia one, I believe.
Google, "Paypal Canada sending limit" or something similar.
I don't know what to do about the money in it, can you withdraw it?

Yeah, you have to go through their verification procedure. As I recall, there are two levels of normal paypal account. The first level is probably the one you have. In it, you have your normal account, but can only use it to spend a certain number of dollars period. I know it used to be $2000 in the US, but I don't know what the cap is now.

Once you've reached that limit, you have to go through another verification step to allow you to spend as much as you want. It's not time based. I had my account for four or five years before I finally spent enough to have to do the extra verification step.

It's not a matter of how much money you have in your account. Just go through their process and you'll be able to buy your "Iphone."


I have a question. I don't care why you are buying an "Iphone." But why would asking you why you wish to buy an "Iphone" would warrant you talking to a moderator?

Won't this error go away on its own? I remember I got the same error before, and it fixed itself in a matter of days.

So basically, what now? I cannot get a creditcard. Thats final. There is no way for me to get one. If I wait, will this error go away, or do I HAVE to do the next step?

This is really stupid, and its pissing me off.

I sent Paypal an email, but I cant check the email reply as they send it to your inbox. (and I forgot my old email password.) It would be easier if they could message your paypal account somehow.

So, yea. What now? If I wait for a bit, will the "error" go away? It did before. My stepdad said to wait until monday so the money can get out of the bank machine, but I don't think he knows what hes talking about.

It seems like I reached the "limit", although I never got told there was a limit when signing up and such. I've reached this limit before, like 5 times. :S

Think it will go away with time?

Or, like limewater said, its not time based?

Also, I would contact a moderator if someone asks me why I'm buying the iphone because, I dont want to get the thread offtopic. And I know a lot of people dislike the iphone.

Okay. Something is DEFINATLY wrong.

Paypal is messed up, I know it.

Wanna know how? I just phoned my bank, and they brought up my record when I actually did auth my CreditCard with paypal when I went with my father about 4 months ago.

Also, paypal says:

Status: Canadian - Verified

See that? VERIFIED.
I scroll my mouse over Verified, and it says " This means you have ADDED and CONFIRMED a creditcard to your paypal account"

See that?! What the hell, why is it still trying to make me finish "adding" my card, if I already have finished adding it?

This is stupid. Its basically telling me that I have to finish adding my creditcard when I already FULLY added it. Heck, I still have the $2.95 in my account that they reinburse you when you first fully add your card.

Something is wrong.

Also, My paypal says this when I click on Verified:

Confirm bank account. Proves that this bank account is indeed your account, protecting you and the PayPal network against identity theft or other types of fraud. Once you've added and confirmed your bank account, your limits are removed.

And guess what? "Confirm Bank Account" has a CHECK MARK beside it. Meaning that I have indeed, confirmed it. Yet, I still have a limit.

And another thing. According to paypal, if you have a limit there will be a link beside your currency saying "view". If you do not have that link, you have no limit. And guess what? Theres no "view" link.

3 things right there, proving that I have NO limit, yet still paypal says I do.

Why are you getting all POed at us? Doesn't PayPal have an 800 number you can call for assistance? And is this purchase a life-or-death situation that can't wait one week until next month when the limit is (probably) reset? (I know that doesn't fix the problem but I don't have a PayPal account so all I have to go by is Google.)

Also, I can't call paypal as you have to be 18 or older to even have a paypal account, and I don't sound 18. Plus, I'm not the "card" holder.

I called 'em when I had a problem with my account, and I'm under 18. They really didn't care. Besides, if they say "no", what's the worst that happens? You call back and get a different representative. Not to mention the fact that you could always have a parent standing by when all this is going down.
