Looks pretty cool. Now maybe I should've bought that old XBox...
Anyone try it yet?

Thats the reason I'm buying a second Xbox from my friend for $50. I'm gonna put a modchip in it, a bigger hard drive (at least 80GB), load it up with movies and games (only ones we own), and then give it a home in our minivan to make use of the 8" LCD we have in there.THON wrote:Wow this sounds great. Do you think it's worth it to buy an XBox just for this?

Not unless you can get it really cheap. (<$50 or so, no games included. Naturally one with games is worth more.)THON wrote:Wow this sounds great. Do you think it's worth it to buy an XBox just for this?
I built a HTPC for $200 that can do more than a hacked Xbox can. (Mainly because it's a 3 ghz Pentium D instead of a 733 mhz P3. Yeah, I scraped the bottom of the barrel.

XBorx. Like job vs. jorb. Sometimes I'm just compelled to say it.Kurt_ wrote:How did all of you guys get Xborxes? I've never even heard of an Xborx.
I think I'll try and buy one cheap, and maybe put it in a couch or something. That would be great.
I don't know about a PC... I just feel like it will be much harder to work with.

If your Xbox is on your network, you can stream your stuff on your computer to XBMC. It works very well for me.Harshboy wrote:XBMC is good...I don't use it that much seeing as my PC is right next to the Xbox and it can download movies of the internetz....
Of course, this is not important if you have an amazing monitor for your computer (I don't.).
