My Idea for a Portable: GGPhoenix

Post by ffomega25 »

The Gravis GamePhoenix. Here's a crewd pic of the portable:

This unit would be capable of playing .ggp files (of my own creation). The game could not use more than 10 buttons (for use of the portability). What I had in mind was taking ten keys from a standard keyboard and integrating them into the motherboard of the Gravis Gamepad Pro. Then, creating a slot for which a flash card could be inserted. This flash card could hold multiple games, based on their (and their save files') sizes. And an internal operating system and bios could be written to run the .ggp files without any accessories.

Tell me yout thoughts and opinions.

alright, sounds like a decent idea if you can pull it off, but if you dont have advance knowledge on how to do this, YOU WONT.

first, what kind of motherboard are you using?
what kind of screen are you using?
how do you plan to make this .ggp file?

and whats a Gravis Gamepad Pro?

What motherboard and screen are you going to use? You have a decent idea, but there's a lot of missing parts.

It's basically a USB PC gamepad clone of the digital Playstation controller.

nice drawing! but you would be better off putting a NOAC and a hipgear screen or something in it because your idea sounds very complicated and hard

Too much work, for such a small reward.
