Which XBox360 should I get?

Includes PS2, Xbox 1, GameCube (but not the Phantom Game Console)

I actually like the look of the Halo 3 360. It has grown on me. I always thought the original green Halo Xbox looked cheap.

At this time the Premium 360s are being rolled out with HDMI. It is still hit or miss as to which stores have them, but within another month or 2 I suspect that all Elite and Premium systems will have HDMI.

I also suspect that the Core system's days are finally numbered. I think part of the reason for the price drop was to test whether or not more people would go for the Premium system by dropping the price to $350 making it only a $70 dollar difference between it and the Core as opposed to the previous $100 difference.

I just checked Best Buy's site and they don't even list the Core anymore. Didn't check anywhere else, but perhaps this is a sign of things to come.

To answer your question I would go with the $350 HDMI Premium, because you're basically paying $50 for a paint job with the Halo 3 edition. Only go with the Elite if you need the extra hard drive space (you probably won't).

The Halo 3 Xbox 360 also comes with a Halo 3 Play 'N' Charge kit, so you don't have to keep changing the batteries on your controller, so that is like a $20 value in there. So the paint job is only $30. ;)

Jason, are you really ranked 12 in Wisconsin for Xbox Live? Or is that just one game?

Yeah, I'm like 12 out of 32 at the moment. When I originally signed up just over a month ago or so I was 2 out of 7 so people seem to be signing up for it now.

It would be cool to say I'm 12th out of everybody in Wisconsin on Live, but then I would probably have even less of a life than I already do.

The site is http://www.xboxamerica.com if you're interested. :)

Well that's cool that they at least give you something else beyond the paint job. Thanks for correcting me. :)

That must be a damn nice paint job for even $30 though!

Hmmm... I thought I added that on to my last post. Oops!
