Wireless Keyboard/Frets On Fire Help

Post by Super Cameraman »

I vowed to always hate Guitar Hero because I actually play guitar and it makes people think guitar is easy, BUT I tried it once, and I'm addicted. It's so much fun, I can't even explain.

So, I have a wireless keyboard and downloaded Frets On Fire, and it worked GREAT!

...

Until the keyboard stopped working... Weird.

I couldn't close the program, so I shut off the computer and tried again.

I played for a while, and half way through the song, it stops again...

Could it just be the batteries? Because when I reboot the computer, it works perfectly fine, until it stop working.

What could the problem be? I really need to play more... my body... needs it...

Try a PS/2 or USB keyboard with a reasonably long cord. (Or fresh batteries.)

That's why I don't like wireless keyboards. (Never saw the point, really. Chances are you're only a couple feet from your PC anyways...)

Does the keyboard work if you do not play the game? (does it not die?)

EDIT: Oh bic, I had to do a presentation in a fairly large room, and I used a bluetooth keyboard/mouse to stretch quite far. Other than that - I don't see much of a use.

Bicostp: It's a PS/2 keyboard, if that helps at all.

But trust me, wireless keyboards and Frets on Fire = AWESOME.

Skyone: I can't quit the game without the keyboard, so I have no clue. If I reboot the computer the keyboard works just fine.

EDIT: The Xbox 360 guitar is USB right? And it works with this game. How long is the cable?

Long.

I use a wired and a wireless comtroller (360) with my computer, and they are great. I prefer the wired on though. Less hastle with the syncing and suchlike.

Well I found another keyboard, and it works just fine, so something's up with the wireless one.

Is eBay a good place to get Guitar Hero controllers? And I should get Xbox, not PS2, right? Is there any major difference besides USB?
