My First PS1p

Okay, I've been getting the supplies that I need to make a PS1p. But I'm wondering if I should use a 2.5in Hipgear screen. I know the PSone Screen is highly recommended, but I only need to know if the Hipgear screen will be harder to use.

I've been searching over the forums, and I still can't find if it's harder.

I want to know like, how much voltage it puts out, and how hard it would be to wire a battery for it. I'm guessing I'd have to get 2 different batteries.

EDIT: I decided to buy the screen anyway. Hopefully 2.5in isn't too small.

It is small. By definition it is a quarter of the PSone screen size...

It's not worth it. Your portable will be big either way. Use a PSOne screen. 2.5" is way to small for playstation games.

Yeah I couldn't imagine what playing an RPG or Metal Gear Solid on a 2.5" screen. Just spend the extra $15 and buy a PS1 screen if you want a better end result.

Or, is it possible to hook up the screen to a GBA and play gba games on it?

Well, I was thinking GBA to begin with, but now I'm gonna hook it up to my GBP, cause I have a DS I can play GBA games with light. I don't have an SP or a GBC even, so now I'll be able to play lighted GB games.

You'll need a GBA-TV converter, they cost around $80 USD.

Dam, well I guess I'll just wait to make an NESp, SNESp, Atari 2600p, Atari 7800p (Not sure if people make 7800p's though), or maybe Sega Master SystemP. But I'll just have to wait with it then.

A mod can close this if they want.
