Well, since the rhubarb topic got a little bit out of control, I decided to make another topic. This one is a little different, however. Let's make these recipes video game related (like the Mike Tyson punch in the last one--please repost that
)!

I'm not much of a chef but I know a few ways to doctor up frozen dinners:
Michelina's Pasta with Chicken, Peas & Carrots: Microwave as per the directions. When it's done, add bread crumbs for a pseudo-casserole.
Any of the Michelina's frozen dinners: Only vent the corner a little bit for the initial microwaving, or else it will dry out faster.
Celeste "Zesty Four Cheese" pizzas are good when you add vegetables, ham, chopped hot dog, pieces of steak, or other leftover toppings you may have in the fridge. (When you add topings to these pizzas, it's best to bake them. The added toppings throws the microwaving time off.)
When you microwave frozen pizzas, put a paper plate on a regular plate, then put the crisper disc on top of the paper plate, then put the pizza on the crisper disc. This will keep the cheese from making a mess, so you don't have to wash the plate! (Just rinse it.)
Easy fake garlic bread:
- English Muffins
- Butter (or margarine)
- Penzey's "Sandwich Sprinkle"
- Garlic powder
- Mozzarella cheese (optional)
Halve and butter the english muffins. Apply the seasonings to taste, then place them on a cookie sheet on the top rack of the oven. Broil until the butter is melted, the cheese (if you used any) is melted, and the muffins are a little crispy. You can also use Parisian or Italian bread, but it will take more ingredients and maybe more time.
Sorry, I'm still working on a buffalo wing sauce. (Everybody should have their own buffalo sauce recipe.

Loving the Pi Pie. I may do that.
As for recipe's,a good, old fashoined Canadian breakfast is as follows:
1)Fry up some bacon. Thick slices
2) Mix 2 (maybe 3) Eggs, 2 Cups flour, and 1.5 cups milk. I think. Cook as pancakes should be cooked. In a pan. Or make your favourite kind of pancakes. NOT from mix. Buttermilk pancakes are good too.
3) Get REAL maple syrup, from a tree, not a sugarcane and lake, and SMOTHER everything with it.
4) Cut the bacon first, pick up the maximum amount of maple syrup, repeat until only 1 slice remains. Eat pancakes the same way.
5) Et the last slice of bacon, as you did in 4.

@Bic: I never microwave my frozen pizzas. It makes them bland and soggy.
@Kurt: What kind of bacon do you mean? Canadian bacon? If not, thick slices of bacon are hard to come by in the southeastern US. Also, we Americans, with the exception of the northerners (or "Yankees") can't find this so called "tree maple syrup". Maybe some company ships it here, but pretty much all we have is Aunt Jemima and Log Cabin.

a regular meal of mine is rice and eggs, cook up a serving or two of rice (boil in bag, minute rice, whatever, your choice!) and while that is cooking in a bowl crack 2-3 eggs add little milk and beat them and dump into a skillet that has already been set to medium heat, scramble the eggs and when they are about 2/3 done add american or velveta cheese. get a big bowl dump the rice in add the cheesy eggs when the eggs are done cooking and the cheese is melted, mix the eggs and rice together and enjoy, or add a little refried beans and a bit of taco sauce (ortega mild!) it tastes good, is filling but gasx or beano is your friend afterwards
another recipie i like is egg fritatta, first get some frozen hashbrowns and dump into a skillet on medium heat, cook them till browned and mostly done then add in 2-3 eggs beaten with a little milk, at the same time cook up the bacon of your choice, cover the fritatta and let cook for 3-5 min then uncover and put cheese and crumbled bacon on top take off heat and recover for a little bit before eating. its really good!

You never microwave frozen pizzas that aren't supposed to be microwaved. Even if it says you can microwave them, be cautious. The best "microwaveable" pizza I've had is a Digiorno, its comes with a stand thing with holes in the bottom, so the crust isn't mushy, but you have to let it sit for a couple minutes after its done to let it completely dry. Only problem is that the very outside crust tastes like bleh, but the rest is good. They're kinda expensive, but thats what sales and coupons are for.benol wrote:@Bic: I never microwave my frozen pizzas. It makes them bland and soggy.
