You say free almost like paint costs money.

No, I'm saying that you don't have to pay a ton of money for Photoshop if you want something to do some simple editing, but need something better than MS Paint.

If ya want to get Photo Editor, GET Vicman Photo Editor. It way better than MS Paint. And it's FREE

It also requires you to spend hours learning how to use it, Paint.NET is pretty much MS Paint on steroids. GIMP is useful for animated gifs, I had to use it once to separate the frames, but Paint.NET is easier for simpler stuff.

If you know how to use Photoshop, you know how to use GIMP, it just takes a little playing around...

They're working on giving GIMP a "face lift" which will hopefully make it more user-friendly.

There's way too many. Cut it down to 10 entries, and try to keep the number of entries per person fair.
