What are those? I heard Opera was bad...

TCPMP - The Core Pocket Media Player. It's a much better media player than Windows Media Player Mobile. It supports MP4, XviD, Divx, flv (with an additional splitter), etc.

Opera Mobile is, of course, a port of the Opera browser.

It's got better style sheet and formatting support than Pocket IE, it supports JavaScript better, and you can tell it to register as either a handheld device or a desktop computer. Also tabs.

TCPMP = God. Seriously, it's so great. Low-memory application, plays every media file imaginable, I used it all the time when I had my Jornada. It's a lot like a mobile version of VLC.

I can't get videos to play right at ALL. With this, or Windows Media Player. I get maybe 1 frame for every 3 or 4 seconds. The audio is fine though.

What am I doing wrong? What's the best format with TCPMP?

How much memory do you have available? try exiting some stuff by pressing the reset button or with the switcher bar.

You could also try messing with TCPMP's buffering and Xscale settings.

Also, what's the file size and how fast is your card? (Mine's just a blue PNY card and it works fine.)

I generally use these settings for videos:

XviD
320x240
30 fps
500 to 1000 k/sec

Well, I got it to work, and it works flawlessly! (Pretty much)

I imported my videos to Windows Movie Maker (I know, it sucks, but it works) and exported to it's default PocketPC setting. I think the problem before was that my videos were 720 by 480, and I have a QVGA screen.

WMP works exactly the same as that other player though. The other player does widescreen. That's good because most of the videos I make are widescreen!
