I was thinking sending the audio through the radio with a transmitter and have the projector in the boot for a portable Drive-in

You would get into trouble if u showed a dvd as they can say did u purchase a licence to show it so you would have to stick to videogames and Public domain movies like The night of the living dead

Or you could ask ben nicely if u could use one of his movies

And yes this is projected onto the side of a 5ton truck it's about 12ft i would guess long

I also have a carpc so i could easily play any video format or emulator aswell

This is just an idea don't know if it's a good one or not yet besides im using an overhead projector for it
Not to be rude, but some punctuation would be nice.

If you can get one real cheap i would it's well worth it and im only using a 7.6" lcd screen and it's that big it can be smaller aswell so even a 5" ps1 screen would work well or a 7" portable dvd player (altho the ps1 screen wouldn't be that sharp)

...Something tells me my :WTF: script is about to introduce a lot more cynicism around here.

Okay, this portable projector thing seems AWESOME. You actually just gave me a different idea... I have 2.5 acres of land at my new place... most of it is not being used, and it gets REALLY dark at night since I'm a bit out in the country (hooray for not being ALL the way out in the country and still being able to get cable internet!), so I think I'm gonna create a giant OUTSIDE projector! I'll have like... my own, private drive-in movie theater type thing! I've always wanted to build my own projector, but I never thought about putting one outside...! This would be SO awesome!!! Okay, thread hi-jacking done... I'm gonna go plan stuff. That post made me sound like I was 8... woah... too excited. >.>

In that case i think u should have a look at this projector as an idea for outside so u can move it around and keep it stored away when not inuse

Nice concept. One thought is to get a roof rack for the car, and mount the projector in place there (when you are ready for it).
