Okay, the PM version should be fixed. I'm so glad all of you are getting use out of my script! ^-^

I feel popular now... yay!

If anyone wants to play with the script, I don't care. I'm sure you know how to get to the source code. A lot of the code is kinda unorthodox, but it's hard to apply Javascript to a page whose HTML is un-editable.

Ask me anything about it and I'll tell you, "Yeah, I know... I tried that, but this or that happened. The only way I found to get around it was to do this."

Oh, yeah... I see... um... that's gonna have to be too bad.

After messing with it a bit more, I realized that I'd have to completely rework the entire script in order to get it to work right in preview mode and/or on the error page (the page the form validator echos if you don't type anything in the body of your message or the "Subject" and/or "To" fields in a PM).

Yeah... so I'm not gonna do that... way too much work.

But again, any of you are welcome to mess with it, if you like.

Or you can do what I do:

1. Make a bookmark to the image in your bookmark toolbar, and remove its name property so you just have the icon.
2. Whenever you want to add a WTF emoticon, click the Img button (or use HTML, all the leet kids do), drag the bookmark onto the end of the tag, delete the line break, then click the Img button again.

It works everywhere with no problems.

If a picture's worth a thousand words, <a href="http://bicostp.googlepages.com/wtf.avi">here's a demonstration</a> at 15,000 words per second.

Or, you just create a bookmark that links to

javascript:document.forms[0].message.innerHTML += "[img]http://skytroniks.com/images/database/smilies/wtf.gif[/img]";void(0);

That will also create a WTF smiley image in the textbox during posting.
It's not very hard to do these things in javascript.

Big update! I'm skipping straight to V2.0 now, because the new script ADDS a row now, instead of replacing the

icon! Yay!

I also added comments to each line, describing what each of them do. The code's kinda hard to read, especially without a good reader with syntax highlighting, but you (some of you, anyway...) know how Javascript is with multiple lines...

It's almost kind of a new script... it's really not just for the :WTF: icon anymore. This script can be expanded to add any number of emoticons! Of course, it's currently pre-configured with the :WTF: icon.

NOTE: This one is named differently. Make sure you remove the old script, as the new script will not overwrite it.

It should be easy enough for you guys to figure out how to modify the script for your needs (adding additional emoticons), but in case you need help, just post back here.
