Serious PSP custom XMB question

After a long (4 month!) hiatus, I have returned! And I brought a question with me! Every PSP xmb I try to install loads up, but the screen turns white and nothing is visible except the battery icon. I copied all of the files to all of the right places and still it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong, and how do I fix it?

UPDATE: I also have a new problem. Whenever I select Memory Stick under Game, it freezes

in the root of your psp folder make a floder named ISO

Do you even know what you are talking about? Probably not. I already HAVE a folder named ISO in my PSP's root. Point aside, the ISO folder has NOTHING to do with custom XMB's

Or maybe nobody knows what the problem is...

Have you tried reinstalling the newest custom firmware?

I have 3.40oe. That is the firmware that these custom XMB's are for. I am worried about 3.52MM3, so I won't install it.

The problem? Instead of showing the background and icons, it shows a blank white screen and locks up. Also, even on the default theme, it freezes whenever I select the memory stick icon under game. It only does this on game and not music, video, or any others.

EDIT: I believe that I must have deleted a vital file.

Install 3.52 M33-4. No more theme are coming out for anything lower than M33-4 anyway.

Your problem is that you need to go to the Settings > Theme Settings and change the color to "Original"

Restart and you should see the XMB fine. The best thing to do is to reinstall your CFW and then install a theme. Installing themes over themes is a big no-no!

I can't install 3.52 M33-4 because my PSP freezes, then shuts down whenever I click on game

Then your PSP got screwed over. Use recovery.

What am I supposed to do in recovery? Do you have a 3.40 oe recovery eboot link?

Obviously you have no idea what your doing and I don't like to help Noobs

But I'm in a good mood so I'll tell you the basics. You get a 1.5 Eboot and put it in the /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP Folder.

Then Restart your PSP and Hold R to bring up the Recovery menu. Go down and Press X on Run Program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP

Follow the Directions (If any) and you'll be back to 1.5. Then install 3.52 M33 and Update it to 3.52 M33-4.

Okay. I did what you said and it didn't work. The screen just went black.
