Replacement for a MPF102 transistor

Replacement for a MPF102 transistor

My stupid local electronic shops don't stock a MPF102 transistor for my Ruby guitar amp http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/pdf/ggg_ruby.pdf Anyone know what I could use instead??

get the datasheet, find out the specs, and search for a similar one. Thats basically what you are asking pope to do, except we are all too lazy.

Found an even more cunning plan, I can just totally ignore the component all together and build the Little Gem xD

The Little Gem was featured in Make magazine 2 issues ago. Its a pretty sweet and easy to build practice amp. It rocks with the gain kicked up to 11 :D
