Ok guys, let's have an original Unreal Tournament...tournament tomorrow. Friday 24th.

Who's all in? Or do you wanna just play until our fingers fall off?

Also, I'm up for some warm-up rounds today. PM me! Better yet, add my msn.

Original UT mean the following are NOT going to be played: Unreal Tournament 2003, Unreal Tournament 2004, and Unreal Tournament 3

edit by mod: No linking to torrents. The demo here may work online. -bic

Ouch.

I'm also up for some starcraft. I suck though. Really, I'm up for anything.

'My' computer specs:

- 2.4Ghz Athlon 64 3200+
- 1 gig RAM running above 333 and below 400 mhz. Nothing will detect the speed. 133Mhz CLockspped is 333, 183 is what it runs at, and 200 should be 400 but it doesn't like it. (The RAM is 400 Mhz. DDR 3200)
- New 128Mb Graphics card. Nvidia $50 card.

I should be able to run most games that don't have copy protection. :P As for new games, I don't have many. Warcraft 3 is my newest one.

Halo PC trial downloading now.

Halo PC trial does not work. Graphics card isn't good enough. How sad.

I'm trying it on the more public computer I'm less likely to always be on. It's 2.6Ghz, 768MB RAM (running at 333) with a 5.1 surround sound system and a 128MB Radeon Sapphire graphics card.

Dang, I bet even my computer could handle UT, with the Halo demo running, too. :P
I'm up for Halo pretty much all day tomorrow, but we need a good host and a rule against crappy internet. My connection is crappy sometimes, but I have my dad's work one downstairs thats reliable, just in case. I might be able to host (if absolutely needed) if I use his internet, the 50' ethernet cable should be long enough to reach up here, but my computer is kinda slow (1.7GHz Athlon 2100, 512MB ram, 64MB all-in-wonder 8500).

Halo trial should work for you, Kurt_. It even worked on the system I have when I was using the integrated GeForce2 that munched on 32MB of my ram.

Ok well it works fine on the other computer. I'm not sure what the problem is. Meh.

Anyways, I'll be hosting Halo on and off for a long time today.

Anyone who wants to play now can join.

Gamename: Benheck

Or Direct IP: 192.168.0.101:2302

If it's not there host it! :P

 And we're supposed to connect how? (The 192.168.xxx.xxx IP range is internal. If I went to that address I'd probably get my printer.)

Anyways, I suggest we use this server for UT tomorrow.

the problem is you just put that card in there yesterday, and i bet you $100 you didn't bother to install the latest drivers (or any at all)

Bicostp: I found that odd too. Others have normal IPs, but the one that Halo PC Trial gave me was the internal one. I figured something was wrong but hey, that's what they gave me.

Tim: I installed all the drivers etc. on the disk.

whatismyip.com should help you find your external (real) IP. You might need to forward some ports though.

BTW: Is the site stupidly slow for everyone? Or is my internet just being a finster?

So, I had the ones off the disc for my graphics card installed and then I downloaded the newest ones off ATI's site and it worked far better.

And a warning to linux users thinking about getting an All-in-Wonder card, the drivers are super picky, most linux distros need to be in safe graphics mode to work. It might be different with newer ones, though, but most people try out linux distros on older systems, so its not very easy to try them out when the screen shows garbled poo.

EDIT: Ketchup, the site has been slow/not loading for me too, I think its because Ben is so popular on digg.

It's not all about the graphics. I would rather play UT than halo any day. :)

I'm up for UT tomorrow after school!

I'm still having problems with my graphics card. I updated the drivers from the Asus website (20 version ahead of what I had), and it seems to have gotten worse, if anyhting.

Before, I would be able to enter Halo PC Trial, go through the menus, and even though all the menu graphics were big static-ey boxes until you scrolled over them, I could get to the campaign (although I wouldn't see it, I could hear it).

Now, with the latest drivers, I get the Halo splash at the beginning, hear the music, but all that I can do is press escape or enter to hear a click sound. Nothing else happens. Ever.

Help!

Try the drivers from ATI's site (or Nvidia's, I couldn't understand which computer wasn't working).
