Our school is offering Office 2007 (the $500 version, not sure what it's called) for $85. We're going to buy it purely for compatibility reasons. We currently have Office 2000 at home, and stuff I made at home wouldn't work at school sometimes (with 2003) and vice-versa (royal pain in the rear).
I still plan on using OpenOffice for non-school stuff; I prefer it to Office anyway.
Mini PC or Laptop?

*grins* I'm so immature sometimes.bicostp wrote:use protection and common sense.
Anyway, yeah... just go for a laptop. I know it's more fun to build a PCp, but laptops will, more often than not, be faster, smaller, and cheaper.
Edit: *skims through a little more of the thread* Yeah, ZoneAlarm and OpenOffice are awesome.
