DS Repair Service!

Post by demonofaj »

Well, after about I think 9-10 months, my DS Lite has finally gone batsh--. The triggers don't work, and the top screen gets over bright and goes all white (ala my Gennyp screen :P), and a home remedy I found was to fold the screen a bit, or press it, but then like ten minutes later same thing. I went to the DS website, and I'm still in warranty (bought it in November 06, still have a good 3 months), but one weird thing, on the back of my DS where there should be the Serial Number, just a white sticker. I call DS Customer service, and it's just a robot :(. It's not voice optimized, so I can't speak gibberish and be linked to a human, just numbers, and when I press '5' for DS Repair, I go to Wi-Fi...WTF? I've called like 10 times, nothing. So can anyone help on what to do for repair? Thanks. Funny thing though, I always thought that I had to send in my 360 for repair, not my DS...:P.

I'm sending mine in soon for a broken screen. If it's still under warranty, you should be able to replace it for about $57. How did you get the DS, anyway? Do you still have the box?

I don't want to make an "I'm leaving" thread, but I've sort of lost interest in this board. So if you notice that I'm gone, that's why.

Maybe just not do anything in the menu? sometimes it wil connect you to a person then. The sticker might have just worn. (I know a friend with this original ds)

The same exact thing happened to my old DS!

I'd try to just talk to someone at Nintendo, and maybe they can help.
If you're looking at this post and it was made before 2008, just ignore it.
