Screen Recording Program

I am looking for a FREE screen recording program with good quality. Any kind of program that would be able to record online gaming would be great. I have tried CamStudio but the quality is terrible. I have tried putting up the quality of the recording and it still looks pretty bad.

I just tried Hypercam but it won't let me record more than one second at a time.

Any other suggestions.

Just called up a friend and he recommended fraps but I don't want it just for games I also want it for other stuff.

What codec are you using, and what's the bitrate? The default Microsoft Video 1 is terrible, but install the CamStudio lossless codec or Divx and you'll get great looking videos. I use it all the time.

thanks I will try it.

Well just tried it and it says that it won't allow me to run and save as an avi file with the codec divx. Any suggestions?

EDIT I have fixed that problem lol

EDIT 2: Well it was saving the file into swf cause avi didn't work. The quality is terrible. Help?
