heres the ipod in question. the pics are of a socket, that has the pins still stuck in it, and i need to no if its possible to put the wire back on. plus its missing a pin...

I dont think so. The best you could do is either try to buy a broken ipod from the net, and switch parts. Or buy new parts for it (somehow). Or sell it on ebay or here for cheap.
What kinda ipod is it?

Yer, it helps to know that sort of stuff, why did youpull it to bits in the first in the first place?

Sure, just directly solder wires to each end of the problem.

im thinking of just getting a zune for the holidays, cause the ipod is in bad condition anyway.
