Mine's fine, but I am using Firefox...
Why is it that every time I post in a thread, it dies?

During the day we'd be better off relaying messages through the postal service...

Thanks to the slow server I've become addicted to <a href="http://www.reallifecomics.com/">another webcomic</a>. Yep, read them all, from 1999 to today's. And on most weeks it's updated 5 days a week.

... what?

Well what did you expect an internet addict to do during a 95 degree heat wave? Go outside? I think not! That's a rare enough occurrence when the hose isn't spewing steam... :P

Back in the mid 80's when I had my first job, while at college (I suppose you Americans would say "High school"), I stocked the bar, swept the car park, cleaned function rooms, and other crap jobs in a hotel/pub place, for a princely pay of £1.83 per hour (about $3.80 per hour), part time work. Everyone has to start somewhere to get some money. When I left college I got a real job and started to earn proper money!

I know what you mean by your work conditions, I sold into industrial and military sites years ago and saw how hot the conditions that people working as plate and utensil washers have to endure in the kitchens. not fun. Find another job man; before your hands get so used to handling steaming hot plates and you can't feel heat and pain anymore (it happens - your hands can become corterised)!!

just started my new job friday, it sucks a lot but hopefully it wont be as busy! first weekend of the month at the meat counter of a busy grocery store  i worked 18 hours in two days! 8.5 on friday and 10 on saturday not counting my lunch breaks (1 hour, its nice) i had a grand total of 4 ten minute breaks, 2 a day. so out of an 11 hour day i had my one hour lunch and 2 10 minute breaks, other than that i was standing and working nonstop the whole time, it goes like this:

1.ask the customer what they want (for this example they want 2lbs bacon)
2.bend down to tear off sheet of plastic (the dispensers are THE DEVIL,they suck a lot, makes it a pain in the butt)
3.stand up, open counter door and grab about 2 lbs bacon with the plastic and put it on the scale, add or remove bacon to get to 2lbs
5.punch in 162 press enter then press print to print the tag (162 is the code for bacon, stick the tag on your sleeve for convinience)
6.bend back over and rip off a sheet of wrapping paper, put it on the counter then wrap the plastic around the bacon, put it in the paper and wrap the paper around the bacon tape it and put the lable on!

repeat hundreds of times nonstop :? lol
