I don't get it how does that bring the 360 back to life for a few hours? That really makes no sense.

As the writer said, I'd just call up Microsoft and female of the dog species at them, overcooking the whole system to temp-fix the FUBAR solder-joints can't be good..

Well, seeing as MS has made the 360 three-ring-o'-death problem absolutely free to repair, why even bother?

Well i needed the receipt to bring mine back. But that was a year ago so i don't know.

No. All you need is your console number. I bought my 360 used, and MS accepted it.

Sweet... I didnt know about this... and where would this console number be? on the system or the box?

my friend has 2 broken 360's from the red rings of vahalla sitting in his garage.

The serial number that they needs is on the back of the console on a sticker by the ports.

i heard that the only reason why this works is because it heats the system up so much, that it allows the solder joints to liquify and make a better connection and then you let it cool again.
