Painting gamecube remotes

Post by Frank »

I want to paint my gamecube remotes white to be more Wii-ish but, im not sure what type of paint to use and what type of sealing spray stuff. Also, how to do you get end part off where it plugs in? Is there anything i should be careful about when taking apart the controller?

If you want it to be Apple-white (like Wii), then it has to be clear and painted white on the inside.

Yes it would have to be clear when bought if you want an ipod like style. Who calls controller a remote?

You could paint it white and then put many layers of clearcoat over it. I recommend Krylon Fusion for painting plastic. I painted both my laptop (black) and my PSP (black and purple faceplate) yellow using Krylon Fusion, and they both turned out very nice with little prep, pretty good for such dark colors. Heres some pictures and more info. I'm not sure how it'll do with a clearcoat on it, though, but it looks nice without it.
