Ok well, while scouring through a thrift store I found a Wavebird yet no receiver for 2.99, tested it with my friends reciever with SSBM and works like a dream.
Ok down to the point, I need a receiver, tell me your price, and I can pay you by money order.
DON`T SHIP IT BEFORE YOU RECEIVE MY PAYMENT.

As for the receiver, I know I saw one in someone's selling thread. I'd help you search through threads but that sounds like more work than sending payment though the mail.
