Every now and then my bookmarks get wiped away. This is frustrating. I am on a shared computer, but a separate account I'm sure nobody touches.
What gives?

Never encountered it either, but I'm usually on a single account system. Which version of Firefox is it? Is there another user on this system that is trying to make more space availible, or trying to cover thier trail? They could be deleting the folder for Firefox manually.
A quick fix would be to export your bookmarks to a file on a thumbdrive, and then import them when they disappear.
