Perfect Dark, if its coming out for the next Xbox then you've got atleast til '06 to wait. Duke Nukem, the developers are just dragging their feet how hard can it be toe make a PC game. The only problem Doom 3 had was waiting for graphics cards to catch up to their perfectionistic standards of how the graphics needed to be.

XBox Next(2) whatever you want to call it is coming out this year. It is scheduled right now to release in September. Everyone will find out a lot more in May after E3 when the world gets it's first real look of it. The only things I know about the system for sure is the 1) It is coming out this year 2) It will not be backwards compatable.

From what I've read, no one has said that. Yes, it's using PowerPC-based 64-bit processors instead of Intel 32-bit ones, but Microsoft owns Virtual PC, a Windows emulation program for the Macintosh. That tells me backwards compatibility is not out of the question.

3) It is no longer going to have a hard-drive (It's going to save off some type of flash memory)...

So, a 1-2GB flash drive will be more than enough for a HD replacement, plus it takes less power and is smaller, a definite improvement IMO...

and last but not least 4) The new Quake game is coming out with it too!!!

for some reason its some of the least populated parts of canada that have to pay the most taxes... then suddenly alberta pays almost no taxes, and they hardly have any one just a lot of oil. but so does newfound land the most taxed province, but its in the middle of the atlantic so no ones going to do any thing about it.

also: no hd on the next box sweet, more likly we have to worrie about some other heavy thing on it though. i think microsoft specificly does not want people to have any portable fun. so they will add over 100 pounds of lead they dont need to there boards.. you just wait and see im sure they will have huge boards and like realy little psus and dvd drives

While yeah Slashdot did have an article about the next Xbox coming out, but the only person that was mentioned about in the article was some guy working for Europe Nintedo.

As for taxes, I'm not suprised that Canada isnt uniform in how much everyone pays. Your cost of living puts you up at number 3 out of the most expencive cost of living , dont feel bad the U.S. is in 5th. This what I heard last ofcourse.

Believe it or not there are some parts of Chicago where the city tax is higher then any other state or city... it's sad when you have to pay 12% tax... so glad I moved to Florida where it is around 5%

Remember, 100 years ago there wasn't even income tax! Course there wasn't world wars, social security, guided missiles, $1000 toilets or a highway system either....

yeah the income taxes (here at least) where soposed to have been tempory to pay for the wars. and in the revolutions the brits had a few importing taxes. (so no free trade with friends) a bit of a silly thing, i think you guys revolted (less than a third of what became usa, was infavor) to become acountants.

unlike why canada confedrated. there where tomany britsh colonies in canada that just wanted simple things that england didnt want to pay for (rail roads) so we droped out as colonies because england didnt want to do any work. so we became a country the dominon of canada and we then started governing and building our own things.

I just finished this in history. There was a 3 penny tax on tea (not sure how much and what that translates to today, though) and one big company (East India Tea company?) was on the verge of bankruptcy. Britian exempted just this company from the tax so people would buy it (after all, it would be cheaper) and the colonists were pissed, since it wasn't good for smaller, local companies. [/lesson]

There was more to the Revolutionary War then taxes. There was also a trade triangle that England set up that made it so that the colonist could only buy forged items form England, Rum (alcohol in general) from the West Indies and then America exported materials and things (cant remember specifics). As the colonist has these limitations set on them they felt trapped, the tea thing what really the straw that broke the camel's back.

As for todays translation, thing of this turn of century coffee was 1/5 the cost it is now (per pound) I'm not sure what the value of gold or rate of inflation was back then. I'm sure if it is like turn of the century was even a one cent increase was quite a lot.
