DS Modification Device

Post by demonofaj »

All right, I'm really curious to know on what people have for their DS hacking needs. I've heard of a lot of stuff like R4DS and the Media Manager and stuff, but I want to know what people have and how much it was, how is it, etc. OK, err, I know harshboy has an R4 so he's out, does anyone else have something else or the same thing? Thanks.

Even though I have an R4DS I wish I had a G6DS Real. Those things own :P A lot of people here probably have a Supercard/Lite or a M3DSS

for DS I use the R4DS on top and for the bottom slot an EZ Flash V 3-in-1, the all in one oddball accessory support for the system.

How is the 3 in 1? I'm thinking about getting it and getting the Patch that lets you run roms off of the Slot 1 Memory (My R4's microSD Card) 3 in 1 is only like $20 and it just sounds too good to be true

It's great. Heck for $20 it would practically have to cause cancer for me not to like it. I got it mostly for the Opera ram expansion, which functions as advertised. The rumble feature works as it should, but noisy--I've heard that all the DS rumblers seem to be that way. just think of the rumbler in the cybiko and you'll know exactly what to expect.

I haven't yet tried the gba support since I haven't had it for very long. honestly I'm not a big fan of sram patching, so I may just use it here and there for special titles. GBM is still my primary portable anyway.

For software, I'm running Rudolph's 3-in-1 tool. I haven't tried the others yet--that new one seems pretty promising.

all things considered, it's well worth $20. I almost got a 'real' second slot solution, but they just didn't give me enough extra bang for the buck, and I'd still be short all those oddball addon features.

edit: here is a browser/gba vid, and here is a vid showing the rumbler's volume when it's set to max vibration.
