Old 7up Can? MAJOR 56k

How would I clean it to make sure theyre is no harmful bacteria? This thing has been sitting for a while. I'd have to make a whole new cup inside of it.

Glass bottles from back in the day are worth something, aluminum from any era is worth nothing.

Incidentally, at work I once found a Lipton's Iced Tea bottle that was pre-1973. It was the powder kind, and it had no upc code on it (dating it 1973 or before, thats when my manager said they started to use UPC codes). I have no idea how we got it, since our store is less than 13 years old.

generally can collectors have a tool to reseal cans. If you go to a big enough flea market there's often some weirdo with a demo booth trying to sell the tool--some kind of welder, I believe.

Yeah, I just checked ebay, even unopened cans of that style don't sell for much. So, I'd say, cut off the top, clean it out really well, and coat the inside with something to make it stronger and use it as a cup. Thinking of that now, I may have to go out, buy some sodas I like and do that myself.

Wash all the dirt and stuff out, then boil it in a pot of water for a few minutes.

the can is definatley from the late 70's just by the way the top is attached and of course the label design, not worth anything tho, I would say toy with it, fill it with resin and make a paper weight or something like that, I can't agree with the cup idea as I am a bit of a germaphobe

Late 70's? It'd at least be oxidizing a little. This one's jsut dirty. The paint's still on it and everything.

Dude. Its all rusted on one side, and on the bottom. Near the UPC code, its all rust.
