My Painted PSP and Thinkpad, 56k'ers stay away

I painted my PSP and Thinkpad yellow, had a fun time taking them apart, even funner time trying to put them back together. I used Krylon Fusion with not primer, just washed/dried the parts first. Took me 2 cans, it takes a lot to cover up black.
I left the UMD drive out of the PSP, the hinge on the plastic of the door broke so I just glued it on the back and I'm gonna sell the drive (PM me if you need one). Then I put it together and there was a horrid black spot in the upper right corner. Took it apart again and found the problem, I had put a long screw into the back (in the battery compartment by the UMD drive) and it stabbed the screen, so I took the screw out and threw it across my room in anger. Still has a darker spot there, but not too bad. I also forgot to remove the IR cover until it was too late, good thing I don't use it. But now right on the d-pad doesn't work, anyone have any ideas (besides taking it apart again, already tried)?

The yellow and black looks good on the PSP.

For the D-pad, is the ribbon cable in all the way? Are the contacts properly aligned with the elastomers?

That looks cool, I am kinda tempted to maybe paint some off my stuff now. How nice was that fusion paint ?

A monkey could throw poop all over what it was painting, paint it however a monkey would, and it would still look good.
I was washing the piece that goes where the keyboard does and the paint scrapped off pretty easy, but then it wouldn't scrape off anymore. I think its because of the oil and that from skin, because it only came off where your hands would be while using it. So I decided to just paint it anyways, and it turned out good. It says you can handle it in an hour, so I did, and it wasn't still sticky or anything. I just followed the instructions for painting, thin layers with at least 30 seconds between layers. A few of my layers were a bit too thick, you can't see it in the pictures, but theres a paint drop on the PSP's battery cover because I was being too generous with my layer's thickness. It works good on metal, too. The cover for the ram is metal, I got all the paint off, and you can't tell the difference between it and the plastic.

Krylon Fusion is a great product, you might be able to get better results from using normal paint and sanding, but if you're impatient like me, it works great.

I think the Think Pad looks amazing and I can't see anything wrong with the psp's screen.

Very School Bus Yellow. Looks nice, and the PSP really stands out.

If you want to keep most people from using your laptop you could paint over the keyboard. Think of how lost most people would be.

I changed the picture of the bottom of the laptop to one I took after putting the rubber feet and that back on, even more black, also put a picture of the back of it.

Thats awesome, what kind of paint did you use? I want to paint my GBA SP and make it relay shiny like a mirror how can I do that?

For the mirror finish, you'll need to use clearcoat afterwards and then polish it. Funny, my brother is wanting to paint his SP, too.

I got right on the d-pad to work, it was hitting the metal around the screen, so I sanded the offending corner of the d-pad's plastic and it works now.
