Its my Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally, I have reached a teenager! This may sound funny to most of you but hey, I'm tired of being 12. My parents didn't buy me anything because they didn't know what I wanted. So, the question is, what should i get for my birthday? BTW, I have a Wii and a 360 so don't mention those. Thanks in advanced!

Hey, happy birthday to you!
Have any exciting plans for the day?
Mine is a scant 2 days from now. Nothing too exciting planned. Get to buy tires for my wife's car and go to a car show. But then on Sunday Ben and company are coming over for Guitar Hero-fest and some grill action. Should be a good time.

I did have plans but I got in a fight on Tuesday, and well I don't feel like going to dinner looking the way I do. I did order myself a b-day present yesterday, I feel like trying my hand at learning to play an instrument (guess which one).
Otherwise, fairly uneventful.

Get a cheap (like $40) rs-232 screenless GPS receiver. I guess you might be a bit young to have a laptop or know how to make a PIC talk to a GPS (not that hard!).
But this is like #1 on my personal want list of things for cool projects.
theres a lot of neat software you can use on your laptop to do things with GPS. You could get a hybrid satellite map off google and use that to navigate in a car.
you can go geocaching! (wiki it if you havent heard of it)
you can try to make 3-d maps of your neighborhood or interesting terrain features (like a valley)
you can use it to tell time, speed, altitude, and compass bearing
