I Need an Internet Search Team!

Post by Super Cameraman »

Okay, before clicking back without responding, please listen to me!

I'm making a spoof of the worst movie ever made: High School Musical. What I'm going to do is first, get karaoke tracks of most of the songs, then write my own lyrics, record them, and make a movie around them. I know it sounds like I don't know what I'm doing, but I have it all planned and don't feel like typing.

ANYWHO:

I bought the Karaoke CD thinking, "All my troubles are solved!" But no! I guess Disney forgot that karaoke tracks DON'T HAVE THE LEAD SINGERS. YES that's right, it's got the lead singers just randomly in there! And they left out Stick to the Status Quo, a very important song in my spoof.

I've searched every search engine I know, and the closest I got is an MIDI file that sorta sounds like the song, but to buy the whole thing, not the 30 second preview, it costs 8 dollars.

I have no idea where to find this, so please help! Search for things like:

"Stick to the status quo karaoke" or instrumentals, or something!

Without this song, this movie will be a failure and High School Musical will go on lying to little kids about what High School is really like! The future is in our hands!

Oh, and if you wanna see what's going on with my movie, go here:

Thanks so much, the person who finds it will go in the credits, I promise!

shoulda been "high school high musical", or "how high school musical", but I agree with you that piece of disney flop is the worst movie ever made and it completly lies to kids what high school is really like, I mean, where is the elietism, the really weired kids that you are afraid of shooting the whole school up, the outcasts, the freaks, the geeks and the jocks,,,,,,,oh sorry got off on a "Breakfast Club" tip, but anyway, even the breakfast club was a better illustration of what high school is really like

Marshallh, I'll try that.

And everyone, it's called High Lane Musical because it's being filmed at the High Lane Country Club.

You could try Vanbasco's MIDI search. (Warning: It's going to point you to a LOT of Geocities-style websites. Be prepared for sudden head explosion.)

I agree, High School Musical has to be one of the worst movies ever made, right up there with Plan 9 form Outer Space.

 Remember the MadTV spoof? (It's probably on YouTube.)

I can't find any MIDIs of it.

Also, the vocal remover works almost perfectly, but it sounds a little wierd. And how do I save it out of Winamp? Or how do I use the DirectX version?

But yeah, I hate everything Disney, so naturally, HSM has a special place in my personal hell. So in that regard, I hope this spoof turns out good, and I wish you luck!

Couldn't you just record the songs straight from the movie? Just rent or "obtain" a copy.

No, I need a karaoke track of the song. I don't think those are in the movie.

What I really need to know is how to save the file without lyrics using that program. I can play it, but I can't save with Winamp.

I use Audacity and the Center Pan Remover add-on. It works pretty well.

It worked okay, but the chorus still has the lyrics clearly audible.
