Pickles taste great! wrote:Well, sorry to burst your bubbles, but the How 2.0 section is for instructions, not advertisments. If you are going to filth up a science magazine with capitalist tricks, then either you are really mean or you are very desperate! Probably both...
Well I have the article in front of me and yeah it has nothing about making the handbuilt SNESp. Ofcourse looking closer it says "How 2.0". I think the whole idea what to use the SNESp as a subject to talk about the whole thing Ben does. They mentioned his Ataris, Playstation and said Nintedo systems. It touches on things like how the more recent systems Ben makes run on rechargables and that Ben uses white LEDs to make the screens more effecient. I honistly knew that once I saw it was a one page article it wasnt going to be a how to, simply somthing talking about it.

So whine and cry all you want but Popular Science is still run buy a business and they're interested in money.

So am I. Started an anti communist club at my school. Better dead than red that's what I always say.

communism isnt bad its just really easy to corrupt and limits personal freedom. It also requires people to work to their full potential which never happens, but if there were ever pure communism it would be debatably the best form of government

yeah but i dont think i would enjoy being in a comunist government (even one that didnt turn into a dictatorship) because it would probably drown out my creativity, but at least you have really good job security :P

As I troll about my own forums...

Last month (or recently to be more vague) Popular Science had "MP3 player in an old radio" How 2 thing, and it was quite vague in and of itself... and with no book to go along! I recall reading it (I think before I did the interview, probably Christmas-time at my mom's place) and thinking "this is a bit vague!"

I think it's better to plant the seed (as they did with my thing) than to say "here's how PERIOD!" and give a rough idea. When you get the book it's quite detailed.

Communism (or at least socialism) works quite well as long as you avoid coordinatorism. Besides, communism was never meant to be implented on a large scale (like RUSSIA). It was meant to be a small deal in a small community.

Both involve the government having control over how the economy work or produce. The things is communism does work but the soviets perversed it into something different, really as Marx wrote it it would be much more like Democracy.

I saw the article today, and I agree it's pretty vague. I'll scan it in a bit, unless I am told not to by a mod/admin.
