The funny this is Immersion could make you pay royalties just because two of your wheels and tires ailghtment is out of whack. But if you refused to pay. And they took you to court. The case would not fly far at all.vskid wrote:According to Mode7's info, only if two wheels are wobbly, and you only have to pay Immersion.Kurt_ wrote:If my car's wheel is wobbly, do I have to pay royalties to Immersion, or Nintendo???
You know I was joking, right?nightwheel wrote:The funny this is Immersion could make you pay royalties just because two of your wheels and tires ailghtment is out of whack. But if you refused to pay. Yes, But I stating that you might be right on the rare stupid off chance choice by Immersion.vskid wrote:You know I was joking, right?nightwheel wrote:The funny this is Immersion could make you pay royalties just because two of your wheels and tires ailghtment is out of whack. of course you would spend years in court and thousands/millions in legal defense to the point where you would save money just by paying Immersion. And anybody with two wobbly wheels is all about saving money.nightwheel wrote:The funny this is Immersion could make you pay royalties just because two of your wheels and tires ailghtment is out of whack. Maybe the cell phone/pager companies are next on their list.
I think I'm going to patent the internal combustion engine and take ford to court for all revenue gained after my patent.
Cell Phones/Pagers use one weighted motor, like I'm sure the N64 did as well.Reaperman@home wrote:of course you would spend years in court and thousands/millions in legal defense to the point where you would save money just by paying Immersion. So I think the next systems that come out that want to avoid the pattent should have THREE weighted motors. Then every generation increase the motors by 1...... who knows. One of these days we could have 5:1 rumble!!

great idea, the two main ones, and a little tiny pager motor for the 'hard to get' rumble.MrTroy wrote:

hey...maybe I should patent that. maybe immersion has 'other' patents on rumble by now too.
The sad thing is that we're talking about this like it's logical and makes sense. Does immersion even produce a product? or are they a band of renegade patent lawyers

Should I email Immersion to see if they would make you pay royalties because of that?nightwheel wrote:The funny this is Immersion could make you pay royalties just because two of your wheels and tires ailghtment is out of whack.
