yeh ive seen that its farley inpressive someone figured that out assumeing its true, dose not look like something a vederin mod chip installer like me would have trouble with but quite a lot of work

40 soder points and you have to get something to power the drive

wow, that would be an awesome addition to my Pstwo portable! Of course that mod looks like a nightmare, even with my soldering experience. That would take me 3 hours to solder easy. I actually didn't know before reading that link that the HDD helped support faster loading time on ps2 games...could any HDD work? Like say, an ipod HDD? I have a 20GB one that's pretty standard Hitachi fair, I think it even has a 40 pin connector....how amazing would it be if I could use that?!?

If you do a google search like "hard drive compatable list PS2" or something simalar you should find what you want.

I don't get it, mini PStwo that means? I have a standard v3 mobo PS2, does that support hard drives? Good if does *eyes carefully the hard-drive out of my computer*

I thought about connecting a hard drive to the memory card slot, like a 120GB hard-drive, you'd never run out of space for saves!

No when he says PStwo he means the new slim PS2, thats toploading. And yes the v3 PS2 does support it, you need the BBA however.

As for conncting a hard drive to the memory car slot, how you going to power the hard drive? They need 12v not just 5v. You want near limitless space, try what Jack said he did and put a USB thumb drive into the USB ports, I'm sure if it works that will be far better then a Dex Drive.

the thumb Usb drives don't work on the new pstwos...i tried it

yeh just get a network adapter most IDE drives will work but not all

the new slim (v12) are the ones that cant use hdds

That is NUTS!!! I JUST got a HDD and HDAdance running today on my big PS2... Kinda nice... Games load faster, and easier ont he laser, duhh! Awsome! I could do this... But i don't have PStwo...
