Media Player on PSP

So I'm fed up with the extremely picky built-in video player on the PSP, especially since it takes forever to encode videos with my rather slow computer... So I'm looking for a media player that I can play .mov and .mpeg and other filetypes at varying resolutions. I found a copy of VLC for PSP, but rather than including eboots or something to put in the GAME folder on the memory stick, it includes an installer. I don't have Windows, so I can't use the installer. So I either need a way to manually install it, or a different media player.
