I loved it, but what did Megatron transform into!? I think he Transformed once and it was into that crazy space plane thing.

I think another reason they didn't use the Bug for Bumblebee is because, in the scene where the girl asks, "If he could transform into anything, why did he choose this piece of crap Camaro?" And he transforms into the new one, it just wouldn't work with the Beetle. What, he's the old one, and now he's the new one? That's MUCH better!

If I was the girl and he had the old beetle in the beginning, I wouldn't even get in the car.

Yeah, but he still hasn't signed on, and the writers also haven't, as they're working on Star Trek XI. So, the two sequels might just have good storylines to go along with the awesome transformations.

And Megatron never changed his alternate Cybertronian jet mode.

Maybe Jonathon Mostow will sign on to direct Transformers 2 - The Search for More Money.

He's the guy who did the much-better-than-it-had-any-right-to-be Terminator 3, and would probably shoot action 5 times better than Michael Bay. You know, like PULL THE CAMERA BACK SO WE CAN SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING.

I think the problem was Bay was probably the biggest name director who would sign on to direct a toy movie. 20 years ago Robert Zemekis would have probably directed it, but now he's got his Oscars.

But no, Bay will probably go wreck Prince of Persia (yet another unneeded game movie) and TF2 will likely be directed by one of the following, with percentages of chance:

Len Wiseman - 20%
Paul WS Anderson - 20%
The guy who was supposed to direct Halo (Bomkampft?) - 10%
Brett Ratner - 50%

If they want a good B director to do it, I'd say JOE JUMANJI JOHNSON. He's got lots of effects experience and did JP3 so is probably friends with "the beard"

Or imagine an all-CG Brad Bird TF2... never happen though. Sigh.

Neil Blomkamp. But apparently he's actually making some short pieces for Halo anyway, working directly with Bungie and Weta (Peter Jackson) and giving the movie studios the finger. Good on them.

I finally saw it. It was pretty good, but why did they switch to the crap new Camaro? If you're going to switch to a new car, make it something cool like a Ford GT.

Because the Ford GT is no longer in production to name one reason.

I meant like it (its lame it isn't in production anymore, it even got better mpg than similar cars), so something cool looking, or even just leaving it as the old Camaro. I think the new one doesn't look that good, and about the only thing it has in common with the old ones is the name and that its a car. They could have brought back the older styling better, like with the current Mustangs.

The old Camaro from the movie, Bondo and all, is for sale on eBay.

55 thousand bucks last I looked! Man, and I thought the 4 grand they paid in the movie was a rip!

Look at the engine picks, they're different from the movie. Granted a lot of people probably weren't looking at the engine in that scene, but it was a lot shinier than the one in the real car on eBay.

I just checked and it shows $30,100.00, someone must have backed out. I noticed the engine, too. I saw the auction before the movie, so I saw the one in the movie and instantly knew it was just a prop, it didn't even look like it was hooked up (from the 2 seconds I saw it).

in a clip the chick is talking about double pumper carbs etc made me lol. the engine was throttle body injected lawl also the motor in that thing looks like a bone stock 350 smallblock to me, hell the motor in my Oldsmobile looks nicer lol

This was actually a pretty good movie, and was the start of an exellent night for me, I saw it in the middle of a triple feature (Ben, if you think 2:20 is long. you're WAY off) allong with 1408 and the new die hard. And I have to say, it's an excellent movie, it's much better than watching 20 half-hour episodes to get the same amount of information out of it.

I've got to go a little OT with this one, I own four Camaro's currently, a 67, 71, 84 and 02, and ALL of them are great cars. And I actually prefer the 02 over the other three period. It has better performance, handling, acceleration etc (all but the 67 are Z28's BTW.) I've seen, touched and Sat-in the new concept car, and have to say I prefer it more and will probably get one when I can afford to do so. (it also comes with an option of getting the LS7 put in it) The styling of it is an evolution of its predasessors and takes the line into a better direction, UNLIKE the mustang, new challenger and the (what's with the four door only option) Charger. Muscle cars in "beater" shape are extremely cheap and are great weekend restore work, if someone wants to get a good performance daily driver out of one, you can pretty cheaply. But if you want a good new car, with better performance, handling, braking, etc. you just gotta accept the new over the old. /Rant

i just got back from seeing it, pretty damn fun movie, they did throw a bone to the old fanboys at some parts at least! the part with the "highrise intake and doublepumper carb" cracked me up pretty good. also kinda cheesy/cool that they recycled lines from the movie (one shall stand one shall fall and the you have failed me again startscream for example) all in all pretty good movie
