I'll be impressed if the size of the laptop stay remain as small as you've said. That is made of Awesome and Win.

A Few questions about the LCD: does it use a digital interface, how's the contrast/brightness, how's the refresh rate, from whom did you buy it?

Winning that motherboard must have been nothing less than an act of someone's god. Seems eBay is ever so empty of those motherboards these days. Just a few months ago you couldn't go anywhere without running into dozens of good SBC's.

the lcd is LVDS with a vga interface board and i paid 35 plus shiping for it (50 total) from 7sec4cyl off of ebay. its not super bright but brighter than my lifebooks lcd and the contrast is very good, no ghosting or anything either, its a real quality lcd, an NEC panel

I just watched Transformers: The Movie a few days ago, it had been a while since I'd last seen it.
Ever notice drops the S-bomb? I thought it was weird they'd do that in a cartoon movie.

Does your motherboard sport a compatible LVDS interface, or are you going to include the VGA interface board within the body of the laptop?

bump. stil waiting on my motherboard to arrive and my ram, still need to buy a processor as well. have made some progress on the case, because of the touchscreen ive had to modify it more extensivly than i expected but its going well, i should invest in a heated blade tip for my soldering iron!
