12:05 All four games shown off can be bought either via boxed Blu-ray discs or via digital download to the PS3's HD. SOCOM developer touts the fact that if it's on your HD it loads faster.
12:04 Warhawk won't just be online MP ala Motorstorm--it will also have four-way splitscreen offline.
12:03 Send in the montage! Wipeout HD, SOCOM: Confrontation, and Warhawk. Harrison also brings the (PS3) Pain.
It looks like the digital download future is definitely at our doorstep. Fully developed PS3 games available for download. I think this definitely illustrates that Sony is not fully utilizing all the space on the Blu-ray discs. If they were, you would only be able to download 2 games and your hard drive would be full?!?

So this appears to lend creedence to the fact that Blu-ray is not a significant factor in game development at this point in time. Maybe for a game like FFXIII, but not for the majority of games being developed.

They scaled back E3 because it just wasn't worth it for game companies. They'd spend 2 million on a booth to promote a game that costs them 8 million to develop. Not 2 million for all of their advertising, 2 mil for a BOOTH over the course of a few days.

Maybe CES will come back into vogue.

Well, it would seem Nintendo's got the most beefed up launch this year out of the three, what with Metroid, Mario, and the all-powerful killer-app, Brawl, which will be amazing, no doubt. Should be a good year to own a Wii.

Though Mistwalker is seriously pissing me off with Blue Dragon. To be honest, it's the only reason I even own a 360, and for once, I'd like to see a company who has the balls NOT to hold a blockbuster game's release off until late in the year. The date has been delayed on this title for months now, and it really is frustrating. If this game disappoints, I won't be a happy camper.

I think he was referring to Miyamoto saying "good excuses" in response to Reggie's comment that muscle weighs more than fat when he was on the WiiFit board.

Good things on the PC horizon. Although I don't like Gears of War, if there are settings that allow for a reduction of blood for "performance reasons" (like in Oblivion), then I may try it.

Reasonably strong, but no online for Metroid which to me is a bit of a misstep on their part. I'm sure Mario will do well and will hopefully return the series to the glory days of parts 2 and 3. SSBB I could care less about, but can appreciate that it has a following. Hopefully it turns out well. :)

MS has a pretty damn strong lineup though I must say. Halo 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Half Life 2: Orange Edition, PGR 4, and a little game called GTA IV are nothing to sneeze at. If I were MS I'd feel pretty good about the fall lineup.

Sony isn't looking quite as strong, but they look like they've got some good stuff coming in Killzone and Haze. It looks the big thing they're pushing is the whole "Home" experience though.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Unfortunately MGS4 won't land until March of next year so it doesn't make the cut... It'll definitely be a big title for the PS3 come next Spring though.

And I bet thats all you know about the game. Don`t bash a game before its out. The game looks friggin` sweet to me but not on the friggin` sweet level of RE5 which is higher.

I don`t like people who bash Spin-offs until they are released, cuz they hear 1 thing and assume it will be bad.
