I just went to 5 different block busters in ontario. And I'm planning on going to more.
The simple question I asked (After asking for the manager of the store) was:
"Is it true? Are you guys really going to stop stocking HD DVD and just stock Blu-Ray?"
Managers respone: "No, we are continuing to stock both HD DVD and Blu-Ray. Who told you that blockbuster isnt stocking HD DVD anymore?"
My response: "The internet. Its all over google and everything"
Managers respone: "Well, we are not. So that "rumour" is fake."
(Only one store said rumour, but the others basically told me that "The internets lying".)
There ya have it. Sometime soon, I'm going to phone the manager of blockbuster in my town, and ask her if I can film inside her store. So I'll get it all on tape. Just to prove it, if my word isnt enough.
Blockbuster only stock bluray? FAKE. LIE!

Ketchup and XPC are correct though. The article I read indicated that Blockbuster stores that were already carrying both formats would continue to do so, but any that had not started stocking HD discs yet would only stock Blu-ray when they do. Lame, but true.

I do Netflix though and they stock both and hopefully will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
