I was at walmart last night and noticed the oddest thing. 60gb ps3's for $499. $100 off the launch price. Am I clueless, or has there been no official drop yet?
looking at walmart.com (link) the deal got even better with a bonus bluetooth remote--and a mailaway for 5 bluray movies.
am I clueless to have missed this in the past, or is the least attainable console in the market actually trying to compete now? What do you guys make of all this? According to sony, they were losing enough money per console at $600.
maybe deals like this are meant to boost bluray sales, and sony thinks they can make up the money by at least winning the current format war.
ps3 price drop?
