The DS can't access WPA, so you'll have to use WEP. You can, however, stay secure by limiting access by MAC address. One of my friends does it this way. Their Wifi is WEP encrypted but only the MAC addresses of their desktops, his laptop, his 360, his Wii, and his DS are permitted to connect to the network.

This may be only possible on certain routers; I'm not sure.

it doesn't take much to spoof a mac address, or get around wep. It's a bad option.

I use the nintendo usb adapter. Its software seems prety good at not letting people on without permission. I've seen those adapters red-tagged for as low as $12.99 at walmart.

In other words, he wants to be able to play while he's on the can.

speaking of DS internets, I was trying to post from my DS this morning from the doctors office, hell of a time scrolling and all that, my question about all this is if we have a lofi benheck.com or something?

I've had the same problem on my PSP. I either have to scroll horizontally or its insanely tall because all the avatars and sigs stack up. Maybe an option to not see avatars and sigs would solve the problem.
