Corruption?

Post by cyco vision »

Recently, a board I go to often has experienced something weird, every single post before 2/12/05 has been deleted. But not deleted as in they are gone, the posts are just not showing up. The threads are there, the pages are there but not one post is displayed.

So, the board is probably going to be wiped clean and a archive will be made from their last DB back-up.

But if you know anything about MYsql corruption fixes, or can find someone who knows how to fix DB errors in MYsql, please post so I can inform them.

Oh, and the link is:
roomwithamoose.com/vbulletin

If you can help, please do. Almost two years of my life is in there. Thanks.

Is any of the data still in the rows, or is it that the data was wiped but the rows are still there?

I'd say check the database and see if eveything is stored allright. If it is, it's a software problem, if it isn't your screwed.

Then screwed we are. They said the database was corrupted, the software was just updated, and the last backup was back before I joined.

Yeah, it's nice that you can backup the forums straight from the phpbb admin controll panel :)
