360 Loud?

Post by HotDog-Cart »

Hey. I've been playing 360, and its been pretty quiet, except when I first put a disk in. For some reason now, I put ridge racer in, and its staying loud. Why?

Well, my problem solves it self in game. Once I load, the disk stops making noise, but its makes a really weird sounds before stopping the noise. Like a "ggtch"

This is an update: Sometimes my games freeze. Its not the game, I know that. Its brand new. The games quake 4. It froze when starting the 3rd level. But then I waited about 30 seconds and it unfroze. Also my ridgeracer 6 freezes sometimes too.

IS my xbox 360 messed up? Or do some other peoples 360s do this too?

(I know that the loud problem and the sound that the 360 makes when its done loading a disk is normal for some people.)

Two words the 360s are very easily crap faced. Wait that was six words... Well anyways i would just get it looked at because my 360 made odd scratching noises before it started to smoke from the back and die..

Mine hasnt scratched the disk or anything, and other people have loud 360s also.

Yet mine is making those weird nosies, but its not damaging any disks. Also, I do have a Warranty that ends on August or the End of August, so I'll wait for it to happen. If it starts to get worse by the 15 of july, I'll give MS a call. (Or Send it back to the ebay buyer. Theyre in windsor, and I have a warranty until like the 25th of july with them. So it wouldnt take as long to get back, as theyre in Ontario.)

EDIT: My freind says his makes the same sound. But he doesnt encounter the scratching sound. I havnt heard it since it happened with Ridge Racer. I presume all is fine?

I know that Quake 4 is an issue due to terrible programming and not the 360 itself. But the drive is generally loud to begin with.

Well not really related, but 30-33% of 360s are faulty.

Which is said by Eb games/Gamestop, they even jacked up the Price on the extended warrenties cause of it.

They also said half of all launch day 360s were dead within 6 months.

Haha M$ is screwed if they dont pull their heads out of their asses and order a recall or somthing.

The guy just gave me a dreadful look and said yeah a lot have been "acting up" were trying our hardest. Then i just left the store with my Wii laughing.

Nintendo will dominate if Micro and Sony dont get their heads out of their asses.

not to try to sound like a fanboy, but I will love to see Ninty come out on top, it will be a hilarious slap in the face for both of Sony and microshaft, oops I mean Microsoft.

M$=crap Faulty Hardware
Sony=Full of themselves thinking a $600 crap media player will sell enough to make them a profit, oh and only a couple exclusives.

Yes I did sound like a fanboy but its hard to not sound like one when all this is true.

Well it's a common complaint all over the internet. I don't think theres a lot more to say about the topic.
