why would it have wires coming off of it? its super clean looking and has horizontal super little rings in it. like a piston would.

I already know its a magnet. it picked up my xbox screws.

I'm thinking it's half of a DC motor. It's magnetic, and heats up from too much current being put through the coiled wires.

Getting the other half would be hard.

Actually what that is, gents, is some sort of emitter, possibly for radar or it could have come out of a industrial microwave, it is not part of a pump or motor, that much I am sure of, the exterior is stainless steel, wrong color for aluminum and it looks very much like the radar emitter that I had several years ago, heres an idea, hook it up to power and aim it out of the front window, if you get pulled over doing 5000 miles an hour then it is a radar emitter, be careful though, the energies emitted by a radar can be dangerous to your health

im not crazy about getting pulled over, but i think ill sneak up on one that is eating a donut or something and aim it into his car. ill time it just right so that there is an unexpecting victim driving past him. id like to see his reaction when he tells them they are doing 5000 in a 35.
