FS: Toshiba Tecra 730CDT laptop with dock! pics! BEST OFFER!
Up for sale is one pretty darn decent older laptop with the deskstation dock. the laptop is in overall good condition, some minor cracks here and there and the palmrest part of the case is a little loose on one side, it may be missing a screw or two im not sure.
Toshiba Tecra 730CDT specs
*Intel Pentium processor 150mhz
*148mb ram! (upgraded from 24 i belive)
*2gb hdd
*2 pcmcia cardbus slots
*CD rom drive that works good
*windows ME installed ( upgraded from 98 ) and running great
*no dead pixels or anything 12.1" TFT 1024x768 lcd
* IrDA port 115.2mbps, never used it
*a battery that actually holds a charge! (impressive for a laptop from the mid 90s) i think it will last almost an hour, never timed it
*lots of software installed (opera, irfanview, etc)
the Toshiba DeskStation V plus features
Connectivity
Serial port,
parallel port,
external monitor,
PS/2 mouse and keyboard,
SCSI 2,
headphones,
external microphone,
audio in, audio out,
MIDI/joystick
Expansion
2 PCI/ISA slots full size,
1 PCI-slot half length,
2 Type III PC Card slots (each slot can take one card of Type I, II or III),
1 half-height expansion bay with internal SCSI connector,(has IDE too, i attached a cable to it and messed with it a bit and never really got anywhere, probably just didnt configure it right)
1 Toshiba SelectBay for FDD or CD-ROM drive.
for 10$ extra i will include a pci ethernet card that i know works fine on this, i have tried wifi on the laptop (not in the deskstation) and with the card i used it would instantly lock up as soon as the card tried to connect so i dunno if you will be able to use wifi with this guy or not. beyond that it works great for browsing the web and playing mp3s, install a usb card into the deskstation or a usb pc card and use mass storage and you have a nice jukebox or whatever else you wanna use it for! the built in speakers on the laptop are pretty decent and the ones on the deskstation are pretty nice too if you dont turn it up too loud
PLEASE MAKE OFFERS! im open to trades or just about anything, after 2 weeks (or whatever) if it doesnt sell i will post it on ebay, shipping will likely cost a goodly sum because of the weight of the deskstation but i can ship via DHL for cheaper probably
Pics coming in just a little bit, have to find my camera and take some

It can connect to the internet without the station thing right? And from readin your posts and stuff, I don't think there's any USB ports, but are there?
I may be interested in just buying the Laptop (no station) if that would work out. Would you be interested in anything for trades? like what?
Matt

it can connect to the internet via built in dialup modem or you can install a PCMCIA card, it doesnt support cardbus (32bit) cards i dont belive anyway. it does not have usb and i would REALLY prefer to sell it all together and before you ask no i will not sell the laptop alone for less, its kind of an all or nothing deal. as to trades i might be interested, depends on what you have. also you would have to buy a power cord for it if i were to sell it seperate, the base station is the charger.

Still up for grabs! i have a few interested parties but this is still open to the highest bidder so to speak. i just used this laptop for a while last night and it works very well for a P1! using miranda IM and opera i had 6 IM boxes open and 5 tabs in opera open with no real lag, lagged a bit playin a CD while doing all that and crashed once trying to run radioblogclub on top of 5 opera tabs and 6 miranda IM boxes lol.
