Before I saw Brick, my favourites would have to be the Matrix Trilogy.

And CTfan, I don't think it was you. Maybe it was a glitch, but it's been happening to me a lot lately...

Im thinking it might be Ichi the killer or the warriors. I love a lot of movies but those two i could watch on a loop for like an entire day

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade all the way! I've never found a movie that has left such a great feeling of adventure and laughter in me yet!

Star Wars 6 would be the closest other movie, but since the new ones came out, I kind of don't care for the old ones as much.

hackers is an excellent movie but i still like the original fast and the furious the best or tommy boy cuz i love cars and Cris Farley

I liked Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro more than Princess Mononoke. But eh i think Miyazaki is a genius. I have yet to see a animated film that has the same amazing atmosphere Miyazaki gives off. His films are better than ANY Disney film for sure.

I got a lot of favorite movies but I would have to say one of the top ones is The Fly (1986). Its a mad scientist story that does not involve the scientist dabbling into what he shouldn't. Its like the early workings of a revolutionary technology. Its still an alpha release and the fly in the pod just screwed everything up.

There's far too many to pick just one, but I can say that 2001: A Space Odyssey, Akira, Kill Bill (both volumes), Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and The Shawshank Redemption are all generally hovering around the top.

Edit: Fargo and Do the Right Thing are also right up there.

My favorite movies are Team America: World Police, Spaceballs, and Airplane. I can't decide which is better because they're all awesome.

A few close seconds would be: The Back to the Future Trilogy, and anything by Mel Brooks or the Zucker/Abrams/Zucker stuff...their movies are just great

Agreed wholeheartedly on the Disney comment. Though did you know that they own the rights to any of Studio Ghibli's North American releases? Well, save Mononoke, they thought it was too "violent".

I really liked both Spirited Away and Totoro, they were both great films with good messages, each with charm; I just felt that Mononoke delivered its message with so much more power. Oh, and another one of my favorites has to be Laputa: Castle in the Sky, or just Castle in the Sky for you North American viewers. It's a really great movie, though it tends to slow down a bit in the middle.

EDIT: Almost forgot! Nausicaa, Of the Valley of the Wind kicks so much ass, it's up there with Mononoke! WATCH IT!

My favorite movie of all time is the classic The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly directed by the master Sergio Leone, starring Clint "God" Eastwood, Lee "I'm not a rat" Van Cleef and Eli "Tuco" Wallach. It also features one of the greatest scores in the history of film by Ennio "I don't want your honorary Oscar, but I guess I'll take it anyway" Morricone.

This movie rocks and if you haven't seen it yet you owe it to yourself as a human being to seek it out immediately.

Other fine films that would rate highly on my favorites list in no particular order would be Once Upon a Time in the West (another Sergio joint that came out decades before those knockoff Once Upon a Time in China movies came out), Ed Wood, Magnolia, Unbreakable, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Lawrence of Arabia, Blow Out and The Fountain to name a few.

OH MY GOD CronoTriggerfan! I just watched Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind and the ending when she is on all the Ohms tentacles getting healed you get so overcome with emotions its crazy! Now that movie is waaay up there with all my favorite films now i recommend it to ANYONE seriously its one of Miyazakis best films by far. And CronoTriggerfan i really like Mononoke too its one of my favorites also. Oh and has anyone else seen Tokyo Godfathers? Extremely good anime movie also check it out its one of my favorites too.
